Kick-start your summer with a cultural immersion programme at Sichuan University, Chengdu

The Global Opportunities Office have partnered with Sichuan University (China) to offer you the chance to spend two weeks at their campus in Chengdu in summer 2018.
Jay Shah, a student from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, has been awarded an enterprise award from the Careers and Enterprise team to conduct market research into a potential new video counselling app for use by students, run by student volunteers.

Alumnus profile: Sakher AlQahtani

Queen Mary alumnus, Sakher AlQahtani, from the Institute of Dentistry in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, was recently nominated for a British Council Study UK Alumni Award for his work creating The Atlas of Tooth Development. He was a finalist for the Entrepreneurship category of the ‘Saudi alumni of British universities’ branch of the awards.

Keep you BRP card safe

Students with their immigration permission on BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) cards are reminded to keep them somewhere safe. It is not a requirement to carry the card with you in the UK.
LGBT History Month and Student Pride Week events

Between Monday 26 February and Friday 2 March, Queen Mary LGBT+ Society will be hosting events for Student Pride Week. Events will be held every day from Monday to Friday, including film screenings, workshops, bake sales and more. Come and have some fun and discover more about the LGBT+ community.
Do you know what your blood pressure numbers mean?
When you have your blood pressure measured, you will be given two numbers, systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom). Once you know your numbers, you can use our blood pressure chart to see what they mean and if your blood pressure is in the healthy range.
