New! Zoom Pro available
16 February 2021

Queen Mary has recently upgraded to a site license for Zoom. This gives all current students access to a Zoom Pro license and unlocks a number of advanced features. Most importantly, it removes the meeting duration limit of 40 minutes when using the free basic Zoom account.

Mile End Library - partial closure next Monday 15 February 2021
12 February 2021

The south side of the Library at Mile End will be closed next Monday 15 February from 7.30am to 4.00pm for essential electrical work to take place. Online library services and the library catalogue will still be available during the outage. Study spaces on the south side will be closed, alternative spaces on the north side and the Hive will be open.

Tips for celebrating the Lunar New Year from home

Happy Lunar New Year! Based on the lunar and solar calendars, the date of the Lunar New Year varies each year and each year is represented by one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. This Friday, 12 February, marks the start of the Year of the Ox. 

When you have your blood pressure measured, you will be given two numbers, systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom). Once you know your numbers, you can use our blood pressure chart to see what they mean and if your blood pressure is in the healthy range.

This year's campaign will take place from 7-13 September. It's all about knowing your blood pressure at home to feel in control. Home blood pressure monitoring gives you one less thing to worry about. Don't miss your chance to take part in the UK's biggest blood pressure testing and awareness event.
