Queen Mary LGBTQA+ Action Group launches
23 April 2021

Queen Mary is proud to launch our University LGBTQA+ Action Group chaired by Vice-Principal for People, Culture and Inclusion, Sheila Gupta. This Action Group has been created to align with the University's Race Equality Action Group and the Gender Equality Self-Assessment Team. The LGBTQA+ Action Group had its first meeting on 23 March.

We are proud to announce that Queen Mary has successfully achieved the EcoCampus Silver Award in recognition of the work taking place to improve the environmental sustainability of our campuses.   This Thursday, 22 April, marks Earth Day 2021, and this year’s theme is Restore Our Earth. The award shows our commitment to protecting the Earth’s resources by working towards the international standard of good practice in environmental management.

Queen Mary is committed to increasing transparency and accountability in addressing issues of bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct within our community. 

When you have your blood pressure measured, you will be given two numbers, systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom). Once you know your numbers, you can use our blood pressure chart to see what they mean and if your blood pressure is in the healthy range.

This year's campaign will take place from 7-13 September. It's all about knowing your blood pressure at home to feel in control.
