Unite Foundation photography exhibition comes to Queen Mary

As many young people move to London to work and study at the start of a new academic year, the NHS in London is launching a campaign “London, you good?” to support the mental wellbeing of 18-25-year olds.

Queen Mary student selected for Undergraduate of the Year for Excellence Through Adversity award

Artemis Webster, a current chemistry student Queen Mary has won the targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year for Excellence Through Adversity award. The award, sponsored by Rolls Royce, is awarded to the person who “demonstrates resilience, faces challenges head on and isn’t afraid to think differently”. 

International Student Wellbeing Group

Advice and Counselling is starting a new International Student Wellbeing group this June to help those students who are settling into student life at Queen Mary. This is an opportunity for you to learn from others from other countries who have also moved to London for their studies.

International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia 2022

The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBiT) is marked globally on 17 May every year to draw attention to the discrimination and violence experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, and all other people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.

When you have your blood pressure measured, you will be given two numbers, systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom). Once you know your numbers, you can use our blood pressure chart to see what they mean and if your blood pressure is in the healthy range.

This year's campaign will take place from 7-13 September. It's all about knowing your blood pressure at home to feel in control. Home blood pressure monitoring gives you one less thing to worry about. Don't miss your chance to take part in the UK's biggest blood pressure testing and awareness event.
