European Young Leaders seminar - volunteers needed

Friends of Europe is currently looking for three enthusiastic volunteers with event organisation experience to help with practicalities and logistics around their flagship European Young Leaders seminar from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 March. The deadline for applications is this Thursday, 21 February.

Applying for ‘special examination arrangements’ – deadline Friday 15 March
18 February 2019

The deadline to apply for arrangements for the main end of year exams is Friday 15 March. (Different arrangements apply to undergraduates in the School of Medicine and Dentistry). These provisions are considered reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities, mental health diagnoses and specific learning difficulties (eg dyslexia) under the terms of the Equality Act.

Student update: Semester-based exams from 2019/20
18 February 2019

From next academic year (2019/20), Queen Mary will move to a system of semester-based exams. This means that modules taught in Semester 1 will be examined in January. Modules taught across Semester 1 and 2, or modules taught only in Semester 2, will be examined in May.

Take part in the Festival of Communities - Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 June

We are looking for Queen Mary students to take part in the Festival of Communities by running a hands-on activity, demonstration, stall, exhibit or in other ways to showcase your projects and teaching.

When you have your blood pressure measured, you will be given two numbers, systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom). Once you know your numbers, you can use our blood pressure chart to see what they mean and if your blood pressure is in the healthy range.

This year's campaign will take place from 7-13 September. It's all about knowing your blood pressure at home to feel in control. Home blood pressure monitoring gives you one less thing to worry about. Don't miss your chance to take part in the UK's biggest blood pressure testing and awareness event.
