More than 16 million people in the UK have high blood pressure and a third don’t know it.
It causes more than half of all heart attacks and strokes and is the third biggest cause of all disease.
We’re here to put an end to unnecessary death and disability.
Our work
We raise awareness of high blood pressure to find the millions of people in the UK who don’t know they have it, and provide information and support to bring it under control for life. Every year we reach hundreds of thousands of people with our booklets, magazines, online information and specialist nurse-led helpline.
Our campaigns
We run the nation’s biggest blood pressure-testing event, Know Your Numbers!, and since 2001, we’ve reached over 1.5 million people with a free check. We run campaigns throughout the year to raise awareness of high blood pressure, the problems it causes, and how to get it under control.
